For over 27 years, founder of Tambo Cigars has wandered the 18,000 islands that make up the world’s largest Archipelago, Indonesia. In his wanderings he discovered many marvelous people who found the relaxing effects of tobacco made their lives of hard work and struggle a bit easier to enjoy. Not being the richest of people, but being very clever and creative, they discovered ways to master the cultivation and processing of tobaccos and soon they were making home grown smoking products that rivaled any found anywhere else. It was our founder’s idea to bring together some of these home grown skills and to create a host of products, and a company, to bring their achievement to the global market. To make and market the best of Indonesian tobacco artistry under the proud banner, 100% Indonesian, is our stated purpose.
