Welcome to Papa’s Cafe Bali Located along the main stretch of Kuta, Legian Beach, Papa’s Cafe has become a landmark in the front section of AlamKulkul Boutique Resort. Papa’s is so much more than the name implies. For breakfast and lunch, to be sure it maintains a cafe atmosphere with colorful Mediterranean decor, ocean views and sea breezes, but at night it matures into a plush restaurant, with white table cloths and modern kitchen serving authentic Italian cuisine. Chair and tables spill out onto timber decked ‘pontoons’ encompassed by goldfish ponds and cooled by elephant-headed water spout. Only freshest ingredients from Bali, Italy and Australia are used in the preparation of food, all meat is vacuum-packed and airlifted from WA (Western Australia) twice weekly, organic vegetables are sourced from Bedugul in the highland of Bali and guest are invited to “step inside and inspect the high standards of the kitchen.” A favorite dish is the famous Kintamani Volcano Pizza; stuffed with beef ham, spicy sausage, pepperoni and beef salami, and pumped up with air until it resembles a mountain with blue flame emanating from core. The pastas are a delight, especially the ravioli with fresh lobster, lime and asparagus. And not forgetting to mention the unforgettable Warm Chocolate cake with peanut brittle is a must, while the specialty coffees and teas will draw you back for more.
