Alabaster Products:
Alabaster is a natural stone which has the special characteristics of being a transparent stone.
Alabaster is known for its beautiful markings and its uniqueness, as well as issuing a very soft illumination which can create a romantic setting. Not many people know that Indonesia also has beautiful natural alabaster. Alabaster is more commonly known as Onyx here. Yellowish alabaster is often chosen for the beautiful markings and translucency. The stone is hand picked, cut to size and later shaped and polished.
The center of the cylinder is then milled out from the bottom so that the cylinder walls are thin enough to become translucent. This process is done so that a light-bulb can be placed inside the stone allowing the alabaster to be illuminated.
Related to this process, alabaster is more expensive than the ordinary glass- made - lamps. However, the price of alabaster is accompanied with the state of art design, offering matchless value in each alabaster and satisfaction for its beauty.
